Julia West has been licensed to practice law since 1992. She used to focus her practice on Government Tort Liability, however, she is not currently active in the practice of law. Mrs. West attended East Tennessee State University, and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1972. She obtained her Masters Degree from East Tennessee State in 1985 and Graduated from University of Tennessee School of Law in 1991.  She was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Delta Phi.

Mrs. West is still admitted to all State Courts in Tennessee, the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Tennessee, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court.
She is a Member of Kingsport (President, 2000) and Tennessee Bar Associations. Mrs. West was born in Rhodell, West Virginia, December 21, 1938 and currently resides in Kingsport, TN.
